Bush on the economy

For the first time since his deer-in-the-headlights speech to the nation on the bailout, President Bush spoke Friday from the White House to reassure everybody that the economy will be just fine. He's been making such comments for at least three years, which is about how long the entire rest of the nation has known the economy is screwed. Official recession, depression, whatever? Who knows? But screwed? Everyone can see that. Well, almost everyone.

Here's a short clip of President Bush's statement from the White House on Friday:

hello well i wanted to comment on the economy of america and what i think should have been done about it. we all know george bush has forever changed america for the worst and not much can be done about the past, but i do think instead of talking about what a horrible job he has done(which everyone knows) why dont we talk about what needs to be done for the future of america. one more thing i wanted to say or rather suggest is this, instead of congress approving those billions of dollars to give back to the companies who have assisted in messing up the economy and stealing the american peoples money, why didnt they approve to give money to every person who earned an income tax refund and pay them to help with their homes, cars, bills etc.? iam more than sure that it would have jump started the economy again and some people would have paid everything they needed to pay and most families would still have their homes or at least not be in such a deep hole of debt. and yes i do realize people have to be responsible for their own actions to but if you are gong to help someone shouldnt it be the people who need it the most e average american person who earns alot less than those execs who are now it seems being rewarded aagin.thanks for reading and please forgive any spelin or punctuation mishaps:)
