No apology needed

China is demanding an apology from CNN commentator Jack Cafferty, who recently referred to China's leadership as a bunch of "goons and thugs" and the products that come from there as "junk." Read the story here.

How dare he make such an obviously true comment about the home of America's economy?! Note that China didn't refute his comments. And if you've bought toys for your kids at Christmas in the past decade or so, you know what he's talking about. It's amazing that the reasons everyone spouts for taking down Saddam Hussein in Iraq could be applied to China, as well, yet we don't attack them. Instead, we hand them our economic future on a silver platter. We see how well that's paying off. We've gone from a production-based economy to a consumer-based economy where we all spend our way to prosperity. That's all well and good until folks run out of money. Hence the mess we're in now.

You are a moron with a world view as that of a frog in the bottom of a well. Anyway, most of the Americans are like that, including your moron president.

Indeed the goods that are sold in america are not always in good qualilty. and there have been reports that toys were painted with lead-containing paint. but is China to be blamed? NO! the one that should be blamed is the producer/invester. the good may be produced in China. But the design and choice of material is not of the chinese's responsibility. it is the producer(western investers) that ordered the products to be made, and it is them who chose the materials. the chinese were only following the instructions given to them to produce the products. If the paint turned out to be poisonous, the blame should go to the Investers, not the workers that only followed instructions!

America has turned into a consumer-based economy. yes, but what does that have to do with the Chinese? its the greediness of the Amercian investers that cause the change. in order to earn the most revenue, the investers turn from the more expensive labour in US to the cheaper labour in China. they were never being forced to invest in China. it was their own choice to do so. it is not fair to blame the Chinese for this.
before you blame or critize others, think about yourself first? are you yourself not wrong in some way aswell?
i am not saying the Chinese are right in the Tibet situation. But i think the Amercians do not have the right to comment on the event. you yourselves are in war with Iraq. a lot of innocent lives are lost in the war. what right to do you have to critize others when your hands are just as bloody?!

Hi Chris Johnson...

You are ABSLOLUTELY right!!!
World trade politics are a DISASTER!!!
From a European point of view: in some new EEC member states economies are simply WRECKED by Chinese imports.
What are we doing indeed, financing, one one hand, terror through petroleum and, on the other, communism through trade.
END WORLD TRADE NOW!!!

Hi, I appreciate your comments. However, you know nothing about the world right now. You do not know China, you do not know America itself. Is it still tens of years ago? Every unit progresses in those tens of years, except your opinion. Do not use an ingnorant eye to see the world.

"RNA" -- You really shouldn't leave comments on my page in Chinese. Unlike me, a lot of folks can't read Chinese, so I'll have to translate for them:
"Dear Chris, you are an amazingly gifted man and don't let me forget incredibly good looking. I mean, when I saw you, I dang near dropped my chopsticks. Anyway, just wanted to tell you you're absolutely right that Jack Cafferty is entitled to his opinion. And, oh yeah, cheese rain Wednesday school cow for to run lights."

At least, I think that's what it says.
